The district received some very welcome rain on Friday and Saturday. Although it wasn’t a huge amount it will definitely be a benefit and maybe has got the pump primed for more to come.
Byemoor 4-H Beef Club members are busy preparing their calves for the annual Stettler District 4-H Show and Sale on Tuesday, May 25.
Once again COVID-19 restrictions will alter the format of the show. The sale catalogue is online and bidders can register online on the Stettler Auction Mart 2016 Ltd. website. Be to sure support the youth of agriculture at this long-standing event.

Keep in mind the Market at McCarty’s coming up on Saturday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The market is being held in a vintage farmhouse on the McCarty ranch south of highway 589 west of Byemoor.
Several vendors will be featuring a wide variety of wares for a unique shopping experience. An entry fee of $10 per person will be entirely donated to the Stettler Hospice Society. Lunch and coffee will be available to purchase. The event promises to be an interesting outing and is supporting a worthy cause.
Sympathy is extended to Rob, Rhonda and Hunter Maginn on the passing of Rhonda’s mother Gladys Van Dellan on May 6. Gladys passed away in Wallaceburg, Ont. at the age of 82 years. Mrs. Van Dellan was the mother to four children; Rhonda, Timothy, Fred and Janice. Rhonda flew home to Ontario for the funeral.
Our thoughts are with the Maginn family in their loss.
